About

I am a Melbourne-based artist, originally from Scotland, working across mixed media with a strong foundation in lino printmaking, drawing, and painting. For around 10 years, I worked under the name Pigeon Gillian, developing a distinctive style rooted in traditional techniques. More recently, I’ve been exploring a more experimental approach—incorporating expressive mark-making, vibrant colour, and layers of drawing and painting into my practice, while continuing to weave in elements of lino print.

I have a deep love of drawing and enjoy working at the intersection of tradition and experimentation, often playing between structured printmaking methods and more intuitive, mixed media processes.

I have exhibited my work in both solo and group exhibitions, and I’m fortunate to have collectors from around the world. Alongside my personal practice, I collaborate with companies on commercial commissions, accept private commissions, and work part-time as an art teacher in both schools and community settings.
